LAPTOPS for the Peru Trade School Padre Joe has asked if we could send some laptops down on the container we are shipping in August. If you have one in good working order that you do not need just drop it off in the parish office by August 5th.
God is Good and so is the generous family who donated money to help Padre Joe purchase a brand new truck in Peru, so we will not be shipping one on the container.
Family to Family emails were sent with details about shipping items in a bin to their Peru sponsored families. In addition, we will be accepting general clean, in good condition household items and clothing but not until August 4th-12th. Many volunteers will be needed to help with sorting, inventorying and loading.
We will begin collecting Family to Family bins and general items in good, clean condition August 4th thru August 12th. The Parish Life Center will be open around Mass times on the weekends and from 8:00-4:00 Monday thru Thursday and 8:00-Noon on Friday, August 10th. There will be volunteers available if you need help unloading on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00-Noon. The container will ship on August 15th.
Many volunteers are needed to help with sorting, inventorying and organizing items and again to load the container on the 15th. The Sign-Up Genius link above will show the days/times we need help. This is a great way for high school teens to get a jump start on their Confirmation Service Hours. Any questions contact Maureen Michaels in the parish office at email@example.com.
If you wish to donate Pre Natal Vitamins to our sister parish it would be greatly appreciated. Pregnant mothers who are not able to afford these vitamins experience a greater percentage of delivering a child with a cleft palate among other problems. Our Speech Therapy team is will be sending these vitamins in the August container.

Ways To Make A Difference:
There are many ways you can make a difference in helping our sister parish besides sponsoring a family or donating items for the container. St. Anthony and Santisimo Sacramento websites have many ideas in which to donate in honor of that hard to buy for birthday, anniversary or thinking of you gift. Tangible items such as purchasing a chicken, pig or donkey for a family, full day of work or one-week salary for a person in need of a job, shoes, clothing for a child, mattress or bed for a family, etc.
