“I want to express thanks to our teachers who coordinate this and other life-giving experiences for our children. I was not able to attend this one, but was able to attend the field trip to the deaf and blind center and the Salvation Army. It is through these experiences that our children get to see a bigger picture of the world. We can all talk about them all we want, but so often it’s when they see and experience for themselves, that the greatest learning occurs and on a much deeper level.
I am grateful that I too, am given the opportunity to attend these experiences with my children as a chaperone, as I continue to learn and can have valuable conversations with my children about the experience, as well as in some cases, like the Salvation Army, know then what my child is talking about when they want to do a summer lunch in the park for kids.
I understand the added time and effort that goes into planning the fieldtrips, and wanted to express my gratitude. Thank you for giving my children valuable service and learning opportunities.
Thanks so much”
