Student Testimonial - Daisy P

Having faith in God is important. Taking that faith everywhere builds confidence, trust, and the ability to discover things in the world. St. Anthony’s on the Lake shows faith and brings faith to the whole community spiritually and emotionally. St. Anthony’s has not only shown faith, but has shown love for education. Education is important for years to come on in the future. St. Anthony’s on the Lake is a home for all, a place to pray to God. St. Anthony’s on the Lake parish and school is a place to give thanks.

St. Anthony’s on the Lake has been my home ever since I started attending mass and the family program that they held before I attended school at St. Anthony’s. I have been going to St. Anthony’s for 7 years, I have seen it miraculously grow with the new facilities, new teachers, and new classrooms. It is a blessing to have the new facilities in the school to grow more in education.

Education is a requirement for those who want to be successful in the future. St. Anthony’s has a passion for students to be successful in their grades. The teachers are always willing to help the student either during recess, after school, or at resource time which we have free time to get work done. One thing that I will miss about St. Anthony’s are the teachers, our cheerleaders. They get very excited when we succeed. It’s an amazing feeling! St. Anthony’s is a great school! They encourage students to do their best and give us the tools to be successful in the future.

St. Anthony’s on the Lake parish has given me many many of advantages to get closer to God. In 5th grade we were trained to become an altar server. When we were training, I remember being so excited and couldn’t wait to serve at mass. Also, last year my class and I were trained to be cup ministers. We would distribute the Blood of Christ at the children’s mass. Getting to say those words at mass is a memory that I will carry forever, and hopefully I will get the opportunity to do that at regular masses when I get older. I loved that St. Anthony’s has these opportunities to be closer to God, to really connect with God spiritually and emotionally.

St. Anthony’s school has connected with with me in spiritual ways. Since 5th grade, I have participated in the musicals that they held at St. Anthony’s. In this year's musical I got my first main role as Sebastian in the Little Mermaid, Jr. This has really boosted my level of confidence. I am blessed to have gone to St. Anthony’s on the Lake school and to be a part of a great parish. Through all these years I am ready to move on, to get nearer the Kingdom of God. To make a difference.
