All ways to Pray Always

There are so many different prayer practices that the Church had developed there is bound to be one way that suits everyone. This week at Family Program we learned about 9 different prayer practices; Eucharistic Adoration, Centering Prayer, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Examen, guided meditation, a labyrinth walk, Lectio Divina, the Rosary, and vespers.

Families chose which of these types of prayer they would like to experience at the next Family Program during our Prayer Fair.  If you missed Family Program please email Ann Fons with your family's top three choices today! Here is a short description of each of these types of prayer.  Our newsfeed was also in the folders this week, with information about important upcoming events and service opportunities

Parents heard Al McCauley's presentation called Praying with Christian Art. Quoting Irish author John O'Donoghue, Al reminded us that “. . .what we see shapes the soul."  See more of the quote and Al's slideshow here.
