That is our theme for this year, as we explore the notion of calling in the Bible and how that shapes our understanding of the callings in our own lives. We received a text from God (wink, wink) at the first session.
What a great way to begin our 25th Year of Family Program! Fr. Tony’s presentation gave parents some ideas to ponder, with the three “C’s” of Calling: Consecration, Comfort Zone and Confidence. Watch for more on calling at Mass!
Our take-home Scripture Card for this week is Jeremiah 29:11: “I alone know the plans I have in mind for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.”
The discussion questions are: Describe a time when you might have experienced a calling from God. How do you listen to God’s call in your own life? You can pick up the Scripture card next time if you missed it this time.
The beginning of the year means our Newsfeed was longer than usual. You can see the Newsfeed – upcoming events and opportunities – as well as all the other handouts from your folder here. We also have a Sunday/Monday Family Program page on the website; that is a good place to check for information you need. Be sure to look for the handout on how to sign up for the Need-to-Know Remind messages (by grade) and the Family Program Remind messages (by homeroom) if you need it.
