Reflections on the Lenten Scripture Readings

Reflections on the Lenten Scripture Readings

Lent is a time of preparation and reflection. We are called to suppress our physical wants and raise our spiritual awareness to be better prepared for the celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection and the Easter season.

You are invited to enter more deeply into this holy liturgical season by participating in a weekly series during which we will read, explore, and discuss the anticipated Scripture readings for each Sunday in Lent. The sessions will be facilitated by Al McCauley.

You may choose to attend either the morning session (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) or the evening session (6:00-7:00 p.m.) on Tuesdays, March 1 through April 5.

There is a participant fee of $15 per person, which includes a copy of the 2022 Workbook for Lectors. We will be using this resource as way to take a deeper dive into the weekly Scripture readings. If you already own this book, there is no cost to participate in this series.
