I was born and raised in Waukesha and began my educational journey at St. Mary’s in Waukesha back when it was a K-8 school. I graduated from Waukesha South, then went on to earn my BA in Music Education at Carroll College (now University), and was lucky enough to be hired in the Waukesha Public Schools right out of college. There, I learned from some of the very best music teachers I have ever met. After taking some time off to be with my three boys, I went back to the classroom at St. Paul School. I am intrigued by all facets of learning and have explored many topics in graduate classes. Some of my favorites were Children’s Literature, Differentiation, Learning through Games, and, of course, the classes that led to my certification in Orff-Schulwerk.

When I am not making music with children, my favorite things are watching my boys play baseball, fishing with my husband, weeding my flower garden, and making quilts. I feel very blessed to have been given this opportunity here at St. Anthony on the Lake.
