Take 5 for Lent

Please join us for a 5-hour Lenten Day of Reflection based on Pope Francis’ optimistic 2018 letter, “Rejoice and Be Glad: On the Call to Holiness in Today’sTake 5 for Lent at St. Anthony on the Lake World.” In it, the Pope suggests practical ways to live out our baptismal call to be saints, and to live in joy-filled holiness. We’ll begin with lunch and end with Vespers, and our time together will include two presentations by Al McCauley, plus time for prayer, sharing, and personal reflection.

About the Presenter:

Al taught Theology and History at Pius XI Catholic High School for 24 years, before coming full circle back to parish ministry to serve as Director of Adult Formation at St. Anthony on the Lake. He served at Sacred Heart Parish in Racine as the Director of Religious Education for six years prior to his time at Pius.

He has served as a Religious Studies adjunct for Cardinal Stritch University the past three years. He earned his Master’s Degree in Religious Studies at Stritch in 2009.

He is proud to be the co-host (along with Fr. Tony) of the Milwaukee Archdiocese’s video podcast series, “Guided By Saints,” and is a frequent speaker at parishes throughout the Archdiocese.
