Anointing of the Sick

Jesus showed great care and concern for the sick and disabled. We continue this care today through the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.

No longer called the "last rites", the Church’s ritual is meant for all who are ill or physically disabled.

If families feel there is a need for the sacrament to be celebrated at home, in a nursing home or in the hospital, or before a major medical procedure, they are encouraged to call the parish and schedule a time to receive the sacrament from a priest.

The parish also celebrates this sacrament communally on certain Friday's at our 7:30am Mass.

Parishioners are encouraged to inform the parish office whenever they are or a family member is hospitalized so a priest or other pastoral ministers can visit.

If you have any questions or would like to know when the next communal anointing is, please contact our parish office at parish@stanthony.cc.
