Funerals

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant...Come and share your master’s happiness!” Matthew 25 : 21

At the death of a Christian, whose life of faith was begun in the waters of Baptism and strengthened at the Eucharistic table, the Church intercedes on behalf of the deceased because of its confident belief that death is not the end nor does it break the bonds forged in life.  The Church also ministers to the sorrowing and consoles them in the funeral rites with the comforting Word of God and the sacrament of the Eucharist.

When Someone Dies:

Please contact the funeral home of your choice to make final arrangements.  Then, please call the Parish Office at parish@stanthony.cc or (262) 691-1173 to arrange a date/time for the services.  The pastoral staff will assist you in making plans for the Funeral Mass and Visitation.  The selection of appropriate readings and prayers will allow for a personalized and meaningful Mass to celebrate the life of the deceased.  You may also want to meet with the Music Director to choose suitable music for the liturgy.

If you choose to have the Visitation here at the Church, parishioners from our Funeral Ministry will offer support and assistance to you.  They will also assist with the Mass if needed.

You may also arrange for a luncheon or reception in our Parish Fellowship Hall after the funeral service. Please contact the parish office at parish@stanthony.cc or 262-691-1173 for details or with any questions you may have.
