St. Anthony on the Lake Endowment Funds

Did you know that …

An Endowment Fund is an investment fund set up by an institution in which regular withdrawals from the invested capital are used for ongoing operations or other specified purposes. They are funded by donations, which are tax deductible for donors.

At St. Anthony’s we have two Endowment Funds:

• School Endowment Fund
• Life Long Faith Formation Fund (Faith Formation Fund)

The School Endowment Fund

• Was started in 2005 to assist currently enrolled school family hardship cases
• By Dec. of 2007 had over $50,000
• By December 2008 it had grown to $100,000 and could start distributing funds
• Started giving away funds in 2009/2010-$5,481; 2010/2011-$6,369; 2011/2012-$7,071
• It now has over $208,000 (Sept. 2012)

The Life Long Faith Formation Endowment Funds

Started in 2009 to fund Leadership Opportunities and Subsidize Programs. It would:
• Defray the cost of NCYC (National Catholic Youth Convention)
• Defray the cost of high school mission trips
• Defray the cost of Catechetical Leadership Training
• Defray program costs for families in need
• Has a current balance of $35,800 (Sept. 2012)
• Needs to reach $100,000 before it will be able to distribute funds

How can you help? Prayerfully consider St. Anthony and the Endowment Funds as you plan your charitable giving now and in the future. Consider a monthly/yearly gift or an estate plan gift.
