High Interest Day brings parents, friends, family, and community members to St. Anthony on the Lake to share their interests and passions with our students. Students explore a variety of career paths by learning directly from industry professionals.
Students work with high school students, parents and community volunteers and organizations to explore different careers, hobbies and activities in a hands-on environment. Sessions include sports, dance, cheer, baking activities, STEM, careers in law enforcement, aviation, dentistry, finance and manufacturing, arts and craft sessions, animal experiences and more.
Volunteers
We Need You! High Interest Day is a day set aside to provide an opportunity for all students to explore different careers, hobbies and activities in a hands-on environment (such as dance, fencing, baking, gymnastics, karate, STEM, and careers such as medical, engineering, firefighting, and more.).
We need volunteers to help make this day a success! High Interest Day will take place on Friday, May 22nd. We also welcome help with set-up on Thursday, May 21st. Please consider blocking off time if you are able. You can volunteer for as little or as much time as you are available.
Thank you for helping us create an unforgettable experience for our students. We truly could not do this without you!
Sincerely,
The High Interest Day Planning Committee: Liz Kurowski, Marlo Dentice-Johnson, Tori Glenn, Katie Hansinger, Ashley Zenefski, and Cameron McCurty
Student Session Sign Ups:
We are so excited for High Interest Day this year, which will take place on Friday, May
22nd! In order to make this day special for the students we ask that you help them pick
out their session choices online. Please fill out one for each student based on their
grade and follow instructions carefully.
In 3K-4th grade, your student will choose a track, which includes sessions pre-planned
out and they will follow that track through the day staying with the same group of
students. Please choose their track choices in order with 1 being the track they want
the most. We will attempt to give students their 1st track, based on the number of
students we can have per track, but do not anticipate that they will be in any track below
their 3rd choice if all goes well.
In 5th-8th grade, your student will choose individual session choices from 1-10 with 1
being their highest choice. We will do our best to accommodate what we can. At the
end of the day, you will spend the last 2 sessions doing field day activities in friendly
competition with each other.
Please complete this form by May 12th so we can work on organizing groups. If we do
not receive a form for your child by that date we will place them in a track or sessions
based on the number of students.
