A Way to Give Back

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your parish community? Do you feel called to share your time and talents in service of Christ and others?

At St. Anthony on the Lake, we believe in Common Leadership — a shared commitment to living our parish mission: LIVE. SEEK. COMMIT. SERVE.

Together, we:

  • Open the Door to Christ by building a welcoming, empowered community
  • Set goals and take actions that align with our strategic plan
  • Call, cultivate, and retain passionate leaders
  • Provide authentic encounters with Christ
  • Grow a parish where everyone feels they belong
  • Form disciples who know, grow, and deepen their faith
  • Live out stewardship, service, and sacrificial love
  • Inspire others to evangelize and live the mission of the Church

There are many ways to get involved through our leadership committees:

🔹 Faith Formation – From childhood to adulthood, help others grow in lifelong faith
🔹
Human Concerns – Promote peace, justice, and serve Christ in others
🔹
Prayer & Worship – Enrich our liturgical life and pastoral care
🔹
School – Support our mission to form children in faith and academic excellence
🔹
Stewardship – Lead others in prayer, service, and sacrificial giving

Common Leadership meets every other month (September–June)
6:30–8:30 p.m. at St. Anthony on the Lake Church

Parishioner Robin Hicks recalls what lead to her getting involved:

Many years ago, I came to realize that I felt a great joy whenever I was doing something centered around God. I had always had faith and went to church but this was different. I realized I needed a daily relationship with God. I began getting up earlier in the morning just to have time with God before my workday started. This was good. Then I was asked if I would lead an Alpha group, and I said yes. This too was good.

From that, I came to realize that God is calling me to be in community with others; He filled my heart at such a greater level that I could not put it into words. When the groups would end, I would feel some emptiness. I would pray about my next right step and He led me to form additional groups.

We are called to build His Kingdom. I believe He wants us to be dynamic in our relationship with him and with others. We need to keep moving, growing, and listening to His call. Last winter, He called me to discern the Pastoral Council. As the weeks went by, my heart continued to be on fire with the idea. I am blessed to be in community with these new friends on the Pastoral Council- moving, growing, and listening to His call.

If you feel called to serve or want to learn more, we’d love to connect with you. Let’s grow together as disciples and leaders in Christ’s mission.
