St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic in Recovery (CIR) Meetings

Deacon Dennis Petrie • November 6, 2025

For those struggling with addictions

St. Anthony hosts two Catholic in Recovery (CIR) meetings every Tuesday at 7 p.m.

  1. General Recovery Group – for individuals struggling with addictions.
  2. Family and Friends Group – for the loved ones of those struggling with addictions.

CIR is a unique 12-step program that integrates Catholic Faith, Scripture, and the Sacraments into the healing process. It is designed to complement other 12-step programs, not replace them. We welcome individuals at all stages of recovery to attend either group.

One CIR attendee shared, “Being able to share the Word of God, my belief in the Eucharist, and the 12 steps at our weekly meetings, has brought me from the most painful pit of my life to a life of promise, hope and great joy. A gift by a God who loves me and continues to work on me one day at a time.”

We are currently seeking a few individuals with 12-step recovery experience to join our General Recovery team as lead facilitators.
