These Human Concerns Ministries focus on serving the parishioners in our congregation through programs, outreach and pastoral concern.

Funeral Luncheon Ministry

This ministry is made up of volunteers who either: call, prepare or serve the food that is donated for a funeral.  The family is charged for the core part of the meal. They are also charged with a nominal fee to use the Church facility to offset some of the costs.

There are four areas of service:

• Coordinator Team – This involves working with the parish office to coordinate the details of the luncheon. The coordinators take turns leading volunteers in the set- up, serving and clean-up of funeral luncheons.

• Food Donation Team - Donate homemade desserts for funeral luncheons when contacted by one of the Food Callers on the day of the funeral.

• Serving Team – Help with set up and serving of funeral luncheons.

• Food Caller Team – Contact volunteers to arrange for dessert donations. Time commitment varies based on the size of the funeral luncheon.

Health Ministry

The Health Ministry provides a few  health related services to parishioners by parishioners.   Our motto: we're friendly; we're free!

How's your blood pressure lately?  Don't know?  Don't care?  Find out why you should pay attention before you have to visit an Emergency Room.  Blood Pressure screenings are often done after the 7:30 and 9:00 Masses on scheduled Donut Sundays.

The congenial atmosphere of St. Anthony's turns the gym into a blood drive site twice a year, summer and winter.  We welcome the donors, visit with them to distract them from the task, and set out snacks for after their donation.

Do you know where the AED's are?  Do you know what they are?    Automatic Defibrillators are used in public places to restart the heart when someone is having a cardiac arrest.  Our AED's are in the vesting sacristy and in the hall near the gym.  There is a telephone next to the AED so that the rescuer can call 911 immediately.

Welcoming Committee

We offer a warm welcome to newly registered members of the parish through phone calls by committee members, and acting as mentor to new families.
