Understanding the Gospels

The better we understand the Gospels – the four distinct theological accounts of Jesus – the better we understand Jesus. This is not merely intellectual knowledge about Jesus, but anUnderstanding the Gospels intimate knowledge of Jesus.

Al McCauley will facilitate a series in which we survey the four unique Gospel portraits of Jesus. We will enter into Jesus’ world with an eye toward the culture and geography of the first century so we can better know Jesus in our worship of Him, and in the daily living of our faith.

We will gather in meeting room F&G on six Wednesdays – May 18, 25, June 1, 8, 22, 29. Choose from either 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or 6:00-7:00 p.m. The sessions will include a combination of presentation and conversation. The cost for this course is $25, which includes a copy of The Four Gospels: Catholic Personal Study Edition – an invaluable resource which includes the full text of all four Gospels, as well as detailed footnotes, commentary, charts, and maps.
